The 22 Major Arcana

The Major Arcana form the symbolic heart of Tarot. These 22 cards — numbered 0 to 21 — do not describe ordinary events. They map the great forces that run through every human life: awakening, trial, transformation, integration.

Together, they tell a single story: the Fool's Journey.

The Fool's Journey: a map of consciousness

The Fool (card 0) is the protagonist. He sets out from nowhere, fearless, open to everything. His path leads him to encounter each Arcana as a lesson, a trial, or a gift. At the end of the journey — with the World (card 21) — he has returned to himself, but transformed.

This journey is cyclical. You don't make it just once. Every time you begin something new, you become the Fool again.
